Poole will light up for Bonfire Night 2026 with two very different community events and a special evening cruise across the harbour.
Broadstone Fireworks begins the celebrations on Saturday 24 October, followed by the free Poole Quay display and Poole Fireworks Cruise on Thursday 5 November.

Broadstone Fireworks returns with a choreographed display set to music, alongside live entertainment, food, drinks and family attractions.
The gates and attractions open at 5pm, allowing visitors plenty of time to explore before the fireworks begin at 7.30pm. Entertainment includes live music, dancers and a fire performer, while younger visitors can enjoy fairground attractions including a merry-go-round, bungee trampoline and bouncy castles.
Food and drink options are expected to include a PTA barbecue, loaded fries, doughnuts, candyfloss, hot drinks and soft drinks. There will also be a main bar and dedicated gin bar for adults.
The event is organised by the PTA of Broadstone Middle School in partnership with Broadstone First School. Proceeds support educational projects, resources and activities for children in the local community.
The first 500 tickets sold include access to a dedicated VIP viewing area. Tickets are available online and from Candy Choccy Bar on The Broadway, where payment is cash only.
Parking at the school is restricted to disabled visitors. Organisers encourage people to walk where possible or share their journey with friends and family.
Sparklers, personal fireworks, lanterns and glass containers must not be brought onto the site. Accessible toilets are available, and most areas have flat wheelchair-friendly routes.

Poole’s main Bonfire Night celebration returns to the Quay with live music, family entertainment and activities before a spectacular firework finale over the harbour.
The event begins at 5pm, creating a lively atmosphere along the historic waterfront before the fireworks are launched at 8pm. The reflections across the harbour and the boats gathered around the Quay make this one of Poole’s most memorable free events.
No advance ticket is required for the Quay display, but it is worth arriving early to find a suitable viewing position and allow time for delays around the town centre.
The Quay and its closest car parks become extremely busy. Organisers recommend considering The Dolphin or Harbourside Park instead of relying on the main Quay visitors’ car park. People leaving immediately after the display should expect traffic delays.

For a completely different view of the display, Coastal Cruises is running a special Bonfire Night sailing through Poole Harbour.
The cruise departs from Poole Quay at 7pm and travels through part of the natural harbour before finding a suitable position from which passengers can watch the fireworks. Open-deck seating provides panoramic views across the water, with the illuminated Quay forming the backdrop to the display.
A full bar is available onboard. Boarding normally begins around 15 minutes before departure, and passengers should dress appropriately for the November weather.
Spaces on the cruise are limited, making advance booking essential.
