Poole Men’s Shed is a friendly workshop and social group based at the Limelights Centre in Canford Heath. The registered charity gives local people, particularly men, a welcoming place to meet, share practical skills and work on personal or community projects. Members can enjoy woodworking, making and repairing items, organised activities and informal conversation, helping people stay active, build friendships and reduce loneliness or social isolation in Poole.

Poole Men’s Shed began in 2014 and later moved to its current base at the Limelights Centre. It is part social club and part practical workshop, providing a relaxed setting where members can work at their own pace, exchange knowledge or simply enjoy company and conversation.

Previous community work has included producing bird-box kits for Dorset Wildlife Trust and completing practical projects for the Limelights Centre.
The group exists particularly for men who would benefit from practical activities, friendship and regular social contact. Members do not need previous workshop experience, and participation can range from completing projects to simply meeting others for conversation.
